Consulting projects included Global HR Operations and Process improvement, HR Technology implementation, Talent/HR metrics for Board communications, Executive Compensation analysis.

Later hired to head Global HR Operations on a full-time basis, led compensation strategy planning, HR strategy planning and projects in US and Europe.

Founded in 2007, KIXEYE (formerly Casual Collective) is an independent game developer that makes games for gamers by gamers. The company is backed by Trinity Ventures and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Working with the CFO and Director of HR, conducted compensation budget exercise and variance analysis; estimated cost of proposed global compensation strategy.  Developed job architecture and internal leveling/career progression criteria. Survey benchmark matching, statistical analysis, compa-ratio, and salary adjustment recommendations.

Created a strategic, market-priced pay structure and methodology unique to this organization’s highly competitive hiring and retention needs.

(Fintech/Financial Analytics Consulting Firm). Worked with CEO to define job architecture and benchmark compensation, define bill rates and blended daily rates, recruitment, management issues.

Achieved significant overall turnover reduction in one year. Implemented MBO, Performance Management, and targeted variable pay programs. Conducted compensation benchmarking and alignment. Resource and HR operations budgeting and long-term strategy.  HR Technology assessment, employee relations, immigration, compliance, policy design, and mentorship of Staff Operations personnel.

As a key member of the startup team at Virgin America (employee #10), developed an HR strategy and built a technology infrastructure for a highly complex, disruptive business experiencing exponential growth. Designed innovative solutions and relied on the brand’s vision and values to craft the employee experience.

Achieved rapid, multi-location scale from 10 to 2200 employees (1000 hired for launch, 1000 hired first year of operations). Analyzed organizational requirements, developed business cases and financial impact analyses, and led strategic decision-making, planning, contract negotiation and project management for various initiatives.

The company that endured the most highly contested launch in U.S. aviation history went on to successful IPO, generating over $1.6BN in revenues per year, and influencing the way the industry manages its people, relates to its customers, and drives innovation in technology, service, and sustainability, until its acquisition by Alaska Airlines in 2016.
